GUDAURI SKI RESORT
Just 120km away from Tbilisi (capital of Georgia) in the greater Caucasus Mountains is one of the highest, cheapest and pristine ski areas you can find in eastern Europe. A total of 15 ski lifts and drag lifts(chairlifts, gondolas and poma) offer access to over 75km of skiable groomed runs. At an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level, it´s predominantly above the tree line offering expansive views, open skiable terrain and excellent snow conditions.
NEW GUDAURI
New gudauri is a purpose-built village located in Gudauri Resort to cater the growing number of enthusiasts visiting the region. The area is characterized by its contemporary architecture, with several large scale apartment blocks and a few hotels. These apartments and hotels provide guests with flexibility and comfort during their stay with some offering spas and restaurants.
Lessons generally start at the bottom of the main gondola, called Gudaura, in New Gudauri or at the bottom of Pirveli chairlift. That´s one of the main reasons why we always recommend our clients to stay at New Gudauri. Ski-lifts are open from 10am to 5pm. And on Fridays and Saturdays the Pirveli chairlift opens at night, from 8pm to 10pm. Lessons are always programmed based on the resort´s opening hours.
While skiing and snowboarding are the heart of Gudauri Resort, adventure doesn't stop here... You can also ride snowmobiles, go paragliding, and simply take in the stunning views while on the gondola or walking around the resort.
